BCCI reacted to Virat Kohli’s relinquishment of Test captaincy, know what he said

New Delhi. Virat Kohli has resigned from the captaincy of the Indian Test team. After the loss in the series (India vs South Africa) against South Africa, Virat Kohli has left the post of Test captain by sharing a long post from his official social media handle. He took over this post from former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MS Dhoni) in 2014. After Virat stepped down as Test captain, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has also given its reaction through social media.

Virat Kohli Sharing the post on social media, BCCI wrote, “BCCI congratulates the captain of Team India. For his admirable leadership qualities that took the Test team to unprecedented heights. He has led India in 68 matches and has been the most successful captain with 40 wins.

Virat Kohli quits as Test captain He wrote in his long post, “It has been 7 years of hard work and tireless dedication every day to take the team in the right direction. I have worked with utmost sincerity and left nothing there. Everything has to come to a halt at some stage and for me as India’s Test captain, it is now.” He further wrote, “The journey has had many ups and downs, but there has never been a lack of effort or faith. I have always believed in giving my 120 percent to everything I do, and if I can’t do it, I know it’s not the right thing to do. I have complete clarity in my heart and I cannot be dishonest towards my team.”
