Gur Ki Kheer Recipe: Gur ki Kheer is very much liked by many people. Usually kheer is prepared in homes with sugar, but in the winter season, jaggery kheer provides a lot of health benefits along with enhancing the taste. The taste of jaggery is hot. Jaggery kheer helps in maintaining body heat. If you also want to taste jaggery kheer at home in the winter season and have never tried this recipe at home till now, then do not worry. Today we are going to tell you the recipe of making jaggery kheer. You can prepare it at home by adopting easy method.

Ingredients for making Jaggery Kheer
Rice – 1 cup
Milk – 2 liters
Jaggery – 125 grams
Green cardamom – 4
Dry fruits (cashew nuts, almonds, pistachios) – 1 cup
Chironji (Charoli) – 1 tbsp
Saffron leaves – 1 pinch
Ghee – 1 tsp

How to make Jaggery Kheer
To make Jaggery Kheer, first take the rice and wash them thoroughly and keep them aside for 10 minutes. Now take a big deep-bottomed vessel and put a spoonful of ghee in it and keep it on medium flame. When the ghee melts, reduce the flame and put cardamom in it and heat it by adding milk and half a cup of water. When the milk starts boiling, add the pre-thawed rice and cook on medium flame for about 20 minutes. During this, keep stirring the kheer with the help of a large spoon so that the time does not stick in the pot. Now add chopped almonds, cashew and chironji to it and let it cook for about 10 minutes.

Now take jaggery and crush it well. Now put jaggery in the kheer and mix it while stirring it. After this let the kheer cook on high flame for about 2-3 minutes. Now turn off the gas. Your delicious jaggery kheer is ready. Before serving it, garnish it with pistachio. If you want, you can garnish with pieces of cashews and almonds. If you like cold kheer, then after it is ready, keep it in the fridge for about 2 hours, then enjoy it.
